World Series Who Will Win?
It's that time of year again when America's favorite pastime ;baseball is in its championship game. The Red Sox who miraculously pulled of a 3 game comeback to win the AL championship game are now playing against the Rockies who are coming from an 8 day rest after their sweep. So who do you think will win the World Series?

I'm rooting for the Rockies just because I can't stand Bill Simmons anymore when a boston team wins.

After what happened in game one I think that lay off really hurt the Rockies. Granted the Red Socks were only defending home field and the Rockies only need to win one of four in Boston, but they got whipped pretty bad. I really, really, really want the Rockies to win so that the close minded fools at ESPN will realize that there is baseball played outside of New York and Boston.

^^ Lol so true. Even though im a die hard Red Sox fan, i think the Red Sox and Yankees get so much attention.
The first game was a nice blowout for Boston 13-1. I thought The Rockies would give the Sox a tough time considering they swept their last games.

Is that why the St. Louis Cardinals won last year? Lets face it, Beckett is one of the best post season pitchers this generation and not only that, he has been rolling lately. Schilling hasn't been dominant as of late so if the Rockies can steal game 2, going to Colorado where one of the hitters for Boston will have to sit out, they have the advantage. Not to mention that I think going up 5,000 feet to Denver will were out Boston's pitchers faster exposing the long relief of the Red Socks who isn't exactly that great.

1 nl team winning the world series does not mean the NL is good. The cardinals were barley over .500 last year in a very very very shitty national league and got lucky/hot in the postseason
the talent gap between the nl and al will take years to balance out

Talent doesn't always win, ask the Yankees. The post season is alway about being hot. The Indianapolis Colts defense was bad until the post season when they got hot and won the Superbowl. Cleveland Cavaliers got hot in the NBA and made it to the finals. Just need to be good at the right time.

the yankees were nowhere near the most talented team this year or the past few years
talent wins games....thats why no NL team had over 90 wins. If you took the best NL teams and stuck them in the AL they wouldn't have finished anywhere near playoff contention

So who was the most talented team? Talent can get you to the playoffs, which is what we were talking about, but not necessarily when the world series for you.
Yes, most of the big name talent is the AL because most of the big money teams are there. But do you think that the talent isn't every bit as good in the NL, just making a smaller paycheck so that the media doesn't give them as much air time? Look at the Padres pitching staff, every bit as good (and probably better) than any AL team. The Cubs and Mets, when healthy, have line ups that are talent laden and balanced as much as any AL team.
The Mariners won 116 games in, I believe, 2001. Does that mean they were the most talented AL team ever because they won the most games in AL history? They certainly didn't win the world series that year. Its all about how hot you are in the playoffs and hoping you don't have a NINE day layoff like the Rockies did.

Lol Raiders, they had a reputation for being the dirtiest team on the NFL.
Back on topic if you saw the last couple of world series, teams that had won the first two games won the championship. So the odds are against the Rockies to pull off an upset.

I sense a sweep for the Red Sox. Game 3 was actually a nailbiter for a momemt when the Rockies were 1 point away from tying the score, but in the end Rockies were blown out again with a 10-5 victory for the Red Sox, woooot!
